I have been teaching in the Canby School district since 2004. My prior teaching experience was in Hendricks MN for the Lincoln HI school district where I taught for 5 years in the areas of Kindergarten, first grade and special education.
I obtained my K-6 teaching license from Southwest Minnesota State University, and completed most of my special education licensures through Northern State University. In 2009 I obtained my Masters of Special Education from Southwest Minnesota State University. I also aquired my Reading Specialist license from SMSU.
I have been Head Prom advisor since 2007, the duties include organization of the banquet, grand march and dance. I have been involved with the high school musical, where I play trumpet in the pit band. I enjoy attending Canby athletic and fine art events, walking, scrapbooking and doing other activities with my family. I am married to Ryan, who teaches high school biology and coaches football and baseball within the Canby School District. We have 3 children, Kortni, Kenadi, and Kyson.
